The Switch

We are officially switching coaches and kids this week.  Coach Every will welcome the group that was with Coach Cameron for the first trimester.  Coach Pope will welcome the group coming from Coach Every.  I would like to welcome all of the students who had Coach Pope for the first trimester.

We are so very excited to have our new athletic center use this week.  All of the classes will be going up to the new gym for some fun games and activities.  These games are designed to promote hand, eye, and foot coordination.  Another reason for us all going to the new gym this week is to go over all the rules with the students for using the facilities of the athletic center.  We will also work on forming good routines with the students for moving to and from athletic center.  All of the students are very excited to have this new facility.  Its going to be great!!!

Note: Only running/tennis shoes are to be used on the courts in the athletic center.  Please make sure your child has these type of shoes on P.E. days.

All of the students made me so very proud by doing their very best learning the game/skills of basketball.  I was extremely happy to see how grades K-2 worked and played together so well.  The older grades also did a great job learning new skills and improving on skills learned in the past.  We have now completed our basketball unit and are moving on to other exciting things.

Its a Monday!!!

We are off to a great start this school year.  Coach Cameron's class is all about getting to know each other this week.  We will be playing and/or take part in games and activities geared towards this main goal. Setting good practices is also important for the new year as well.  This week will give us the opportunity to get to know each other and set good practices through playing some familiar games. The 3rd graders played a great game of kick ball.  They all tried their best and encouraged each other during the game.  This is just one example of what we enjoy being apart of as coaches.
We will also go through the rules of P.E. with each class (locker room rules for 4th grade included).  Doing this benefits our new students and will  be a great reminder to our returning ones.
Coach Cameron's classes will continue to work on having fun while doing our best....
